Resume

Dr Ding is the PI of the National Food Safety Key R&D Program, director of Guangdong Key Laboratory of Microbiological Safety and Health, member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, Deputy Secretary of Guangdong Edible Fungus Industry Association, member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Intestinal Microecology Academic Alliance, adjunct professor of Guangdong Institute of Microbiology and State Key Laboratory of Applied Microbiology in South China, Peng Linji Professor of Jinan University. He is engaged in food microbial safety and nutrition research, focusing on the hazard formation of foodborne microorganisms and the nutritional and health function of edible fungi. Dr. Ding conducted the risk investigation of pathogenic microorganisms covering the whole country and different food types, and involved in the construction of a series of scientific databases such as the germplasm database, the whole genome database, and the traceability system. In addition, his team focuses on the in-depth study of functional roles of different active ingredients of edible fungi. He won the Science and Technology Innovation Award of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology-the First Prize of Technological Progress (ranked first). Till now, Dr. Ding has taken charge of 12 research projects, published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers.
