Professor Shikai Jin received his bachelor’s degree from Chu Kochen Honors College in Zhejiang University, and conducted computational biology research during his doctoral studies at Rice University in the United States. From 2023 to 2025, he worked at Gilead Sciences, a leading virology-focused multinational pharmaceutical company in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was engaged in AI-driven antibody development and clinical trial-related research.


Prof. Jin specializes in applying advanced artificial intelligence models to address key challenges in macromolecular design and clinical trials. His research mainly focuses on using molecular dynamics simulations and deep learning architectures, including convolutional neural networks and Transformers, to investigate protein folding mechanisms and protein structure–function relationships. His related work has been published in renowned journals such as Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Communications, and PNAS. Before returning to China, he had contributed to nearly 20 publications and received several national-level awards, including the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad and the Outstanding Achievement Award of the “Chunhui Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
